We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior Technician to work with the Technical Support team within the school, supporting school activity across a range of computing based disciplines that include cloud, machine learning, robotics, networks and security, games, human computer interaction, and more.

The post holder will be responsible for the procurement, preparation, maintenance, and support of computing equipment and peripherals that support taught modules and research projects. In support of equipment and facilities additional duties include procurement, health and safety, and asset record management.

The School of Computer Science Technical Support has a focus on the following key areas of computer science:

•    Games or mixed reality development

•    Software development

•    Machine learning/Deep Learning/AI

•    Robotics

•    Cloud Computing/virtualization/containerisation

•    Networks and security

As a senior role, candidates for the post should have and be able to display experience and strong knowledge of one or more of the subjects above.
