The Universal Basic Education (UBE) Programme is a nine (9) year basic educational programme, which was launched and executed by the government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to eradicate illiteracy, ignorance and poverty as well as stimulate and accelerate national development, political consciousness and national integration.

The Ondo State governor Rotimi Akeredolu has announced the recruitment of of 1,000 teachers with B.ED & NCE qualifications. Two hundred vacancies would go to candidates with Bachelor of Education holders (B.ED), while 800 are for Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) holders. the announcement was made through his official twitter account and intrested candidates are urge to go ahead and apply for the open vacancies.

“The recruitment exercise, which shall be school based, that is, for specific schools, will start within the next two weeks,” – he said.

This means the Ondo State Teachers Recruitment should commence first week of July, 2020.

Aragbaye, who advised the prospective candidates to visit SUBEB portal for further information on the recruitment in the next two weeks, maintained that the government was ready to fill the wide gaps in the teaching sector.

The Ondo State Teaching Service Commission which is responsible for the appointment, confirmation of appointment, re-absorption, promotion, postings, transfer, discipline, retirement, pension, loan and termination of appointment of staff in the State Teaching Service Ondo State will most probably conduct this execise.

Requirements and Qualification

  • Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) Certificate.
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
  • Teacher’s Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Certificate.
  • NYSC Certificate or Exemption Certificatate for the B.ed. holders.
